At Hamilton TMJ Solutions, we are committed to providing high-quality, evidence-informed care. We understand that circumstances may change, and we aim to handle cancellations and refunds fairly and transparently, in accordance with New Zealand consumer law.
1. General Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds for:

Change of mind

Finding a similar service elsewhere

Deciding not to proceed with treatment after booking

Prepaid treatments that have partially been used
Refunds may be considered under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 if:

A service was not delivered as agreed

A treatment was not provided with reasonable care and skill
-
You were unable to receive the service due to a clinical contraindication identified by our practitioner
2. Cancellation Policy
To ensure fairness and availability for all clients, we require:

At least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a 50% cancellation fee

No-shows may be charged the full appointment fee or result in forfeiture of prepaid sessions
3. Prepaid Packages
Prepaid treatment packages are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Refunds for unused packages will only be considered if:

You are medically unable to continue treatment (with supporting documentation)

The service can no longer be provided by Hamilton TMJ Solutions
Partial refunds for unused sessions may be calculated based on the full standard rate of completed treatments, not the discounted package rate.
4. Payment Methods and Afterpay
We offer Afterpay to support affordability. Refunds for Afterpay transactions will be processed through the same platform and may take several business days to reflect.
